PennDOT began work Monday, Sept. 30 to repair on sinkhole on Route 8 in Richland Township.
The right-hand lane of northbound Route 8 will be closed weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. between Ranalli Drive and Cook Road while crews complete the work.
Southbound traffic will not be affected.

The prime contractor is Allison Park Contractors, Inc. of Allison Park. The repairs are expected to be complete by Friday, Oct. 11.
Motorists are advised to use caution and expect changing traffic patterns when traveling through the area.
