Pirates tickets are the hottest in town as the Buccos fight to make the playoffs for the first time in more than 20 years.

If you and your family scored some tickets to an upcoming game, here are a few things you could check out before finding your seat inside PNC Park:

1. Yarn Bomb
The Andy Warhol Bridge, near the Roberto Clemente Bridge, was "yarn bombed" and will be on display until Sept. 6.

2. The Water Steps
Cool off and enjoy the unique water landscaping at the Water Steps in the North Shore Riverfront Park. The steps are constructed of more than 500 blocks of sandstone from a Butler County quarry and more than 1,000 smaller pieces of sandstone. Many families gather there to relax and enjoy the views of the city.

3. Kayak Pittsburgh North Shore
Located next to PNC Park, rent a kayak and paddle around. If you're still working it during the game, you might even catch a homer.

4. The Western Pennsylvania Sports Museum
Check out the Western Pennsylvania Sports Museum inside the Heinz History Center in the Strip District to appreciate the history of the Pirates and all Pittsburgh sports before the game.

5. Highmark Sportsworks
Let the kids go wild—and learn—at the Highmark Sportsworks at the Carnegie Science Center, and maybe they'll be able to sit still during the game. Maybe. The science center is located next to Heinz Field in the North Shore.
