I’m building a new master bedroom design around a lamp.

The foo dog lamp in question has such a large personality that it begs for attention. No pun intended. The turquoise ceramic base is outfitted with a pagoda shade, black on the exterior and a regal gold on the interior.  The lamps, there will be a “right” and “left” lamp, will be situated proudly on the dresser.

The rest of the furnishings are serene, subtle and designed for a good night’s sleep. The silk upholstered headboard sports a tiny trefoil pattern. The bed is dressed in a white matelesse' coverlet, topped with a porcelain blue quilt at the foot of the bed, crisp white linens, and matching shams complete the bed set. A bold bolster pillow covered with a blue Ikat pattern sits front and center.

The rest of the bedroom includes two marvelous mirrored side chests with crystal table lamps. The window is dressed in soft, white linen panels.

The dogs steal the show and this one is a real winner.
