The Pittsburgh Pirates and West Penn Allegheny Health System honored a group of local heroes for their "Great Saves" on Tuesday at PNC Park.

In February, Cpl. Dan Hahn of the Cranberry Township police department suffered life-threatening injuries after falling over a 20-foot-high wall while pursuing a suspect after a chase.

A crew from Harmony EMS quickly arrived, providing oxygen and starting IVs before a medical helicopter took Hahn to Allegheny General Hospital on Pittsburgh’s North Side.

At Tuesday's Pirates game, Hahn was reunited with the three paramedics and one emergency medical technician who helped save his life. The reunion was part of West Penn Allegheny Health System's and the Pirates' “Great Saves” program.

"I’m just excited about being part of recognizing them for saving my life," Hahn said. "That night, I could have been a quadriplegic, a paraplegic, or worse."
