Two Movies Shot in Pittsburgh Open This Weekend
'Perks of Being a Wallflower' and 'Won't Back Down' are loaded with iconic Pittsburgh scenes.
Moviegoers across the country may have the impression, at least this weekend, that all movies are made in Pittsburgh.
Two films, both shot in and around Pittsburgh, are now in theaters.
Perks of Being a Wallflower is the story of an introvert freshman who is taken under the wings of two seniors who welcome him to the real world. It is based on the best-selling novel by Stephen Chbosky.
In Won't Back Down, Maggie Gyllenhaal and Viola Davis play two determined mothers, one a teacher, who will stop at nothing to transform their children's failing inner city school.
Judging from the trailers, both movies are chock full of iconic Pittsburgh scenes.

Do you know any residents of Pine-Richland who were in the movies? We do :-) Keep checking back with Patch for those stories.
