Chuck Blasko and The Vogues have performed at the Kean Theatre seven times—sellouts for all concerts—and now they are returning.
They will perform as part of the Kean Theatre's 10th anniversary season at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 4.
The Kean Theatre is located at 5847 Meridian Road, Gibsonia, on the St. Barnabas campus in Richland Township.
Tickets cost $29. If theater-goers wish to have dinner at the on-campus Mount Vernon Restaurant, the cost for dinner and the show is $51.
The Vogues got their start in 1958 as students at Turtle Creek High School. Well-received locally, they soon were thrust into the spotlight when their early recording, “You’re the One,” gained national airplay.
Between 1965 and 1969, the Vogues had 14 hits, four of which made it to the Top 10. Oldies fans will recognize “Turn Around Look at Me,” “5 O’Clock World,” “My Special Angel,” “Till,” “No Not Much,” “Magic Town,” and “Land of Milk and Honey.”
Proceeds from the Kean Theatre benefit the St. Barnabas Free Care Fund, which in 2011 alone provided more than $5.2 million to poor and low-income residents at St. Barnabas Nursing Home, Valencia Woods at St. Barnabas and The Arbors at St. Barnabas.
