Teachers' Association Continues Negotiations with PR School District
Collective bargaining agreement expired June 30.
Pine-Richland teachers and school district have not reached a collective bargaining agreement yet, even though the last agreement expired June 30.
"The district has been meeting regularly with the PREA (Pine-Richland Education Association) in efforts to negotiate terms of a new collective bargaining agreement. Those negotiations are ongoing," said Administrative & Legal Affairs Director Anthony DiTommaso, who is on the negotiating team and serving as the negotiations spokesperson.
"Although the current collective bargaining agreement expired on June 30, the district has been informed by the PREA that the teachers will continue to work under the terms of the expired contract for a reasonable period of time while discussions on a new contract are progressing."
A PREA spokesperson did not respond to an email seeking comment.
