Richard Bone Ordered to Stand Trial on Statutory Sexual Assault and Other Charges

Bone formerly lived in Richland Township.

A former Richland resident will stand trial on charges of having a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old girl in 2005.

Magisterial District Judge Suzanne Blaschak on Wednesday ordered Richard Bone, 46, to stand trial on felony counts of statutory sexual assault; involuntary deviate sexual intercourse; aggravated indecent assault; unlawful contact with a minor; corruption of minors and endangering the welfare of children.

Bone also faces two misdemeanor counts of indecent assault. He now lives in Hampton.

His formal arraignment is set for Feb. 21; he is free from jail on a $25,000 bond.

The alleged victim, who is now 22, told Northern Regional Police that Bone was a family acquaintance who started "courting" and then had a sexual relationship with her in 2005 when she was 15, the criminal complaint states.

Patch does not identify alleged victims of sexual assaults.

It is a felony offense for a person to engage in sexual intercourse with someone who is under age 16 if that person is four or more years older and the two are not married.
