'Quick Change' Thieves Target Eat’n Park
The scam artists targeted the Eat’n Park restaurant in Kirwan Heights and stole $100.
A pair of “quick change” scam artists targeted the Eat’n Park restaurant in Kirwan Heights last week and apparently hit several other places along the Interstate 79 corridor.
Collier police said two men, one in his 60s and the other in his early 50s, went to the restaurant near the former Kirwan Heights interstate exit on Aug. 2 and stole about $100.
Police said one man spoke to restaurant workers while the other was able to take money from the cash register. Investigators did not elaborate on how the scam worked.
Police said one man was about 5-foot, 5-inches tall and weighed about 160 pounds. The other man was wearing a white fedora hat during the heist. Both are black.
Police said the men left the restaurant driving a green Jeep sport-utility vehicle.
Investigators think the two men might have scammed other Eat’n Park restaurants located near Interstate 79. Eat’n Park officials did not return a phone message seeking information on the heists.
Anyone with information about the thefts are asked to call the Collier Township Police Department at 412-276-5051.
