Pine-Richland Crew is sending six rowers to the Scholastic Rowing Association National Championship in New Jersey.  

Mike Miklavic, Ben Tilley, Paul Noterangelo, Connor Karran, Clarissa Suparman and Kelly Rodgers competed Friday, with the finals on Saturday.

Scholastic Rowing Association of America is holding its national regatta on the Cooper River in Camden, NJ.

The Pine-Richland Crew Team rows out of the Groveton Boat Club along the Ohio River.

In 2007, Pine-Richland School District recognized crew as a club sport when the team came under the leadership of Florin Curuea, a former elite rower from the Romanian Olympic team, according to the team's website. 

Curuea just qualified this week to row in the London Olympics.
