North Star Kids Now Scheduling Auditions
For more than 30 years, the North Star Kids has performed throughout the region for private groups, fundraising events and community celebrations.
The North Star Kids performance troupe is now scheduling its annual auditions for singers and dancers.
Auditions will be held by appointment only on Friday, April 19 and Saturday, April 20, 2013, at St. John’s Lutheran Church on Cumberland Road in McCandless. Alternative audition appointments are available for those needing other arrangments.
Auditions are open to girls and boys in grades 2 through 7. Those interested can observe a North Star Kids rehearsal on Thursday, April 11 at McKnight Elementary School.
Girls are able to perform with the North Star Kids through grade 8 and boys through grade 9. The current troupe consists of more than 30 boys and girls throughout the north Pittsburgh area.

For more than 30 years, the North Star Kids has performed throughout the region for private groups, fundraising events and community celebrations. The troupe performs several shows including a Broadway-style song and dance revue, a patriotic show as well as a holiday show.
The North Star Kids have been featured live on stage with Celine Dion, Barry Manilow, Kelly Clarkson, the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, the River City Brass Band, John Lithgrow, Disney's Orlando Touring Company, and the New York Broadway Touring Company. Each Sept. 11 the troupe performs at the Flight 93 Memorial Service in Shanksville, Pa. In addition, they have performed for the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Pirates, and the Penguins.
