Merry Christmas!

For the second year in a row, Patch figured the best gift we could give you on Christmas Day would be a concert of Christmas songs by Jackie Evancho of Pine-Richland.

We also figured she's a little busy today being a 12-year-old enjoying the holiday with her family. So we decided to bring you the next-best thing — YouTube performances of Jackie singing Christmas songs.

Of course, you can also buy her CD, Heavenly Christmas, or her EP, O Holy Night.

We love following Jackie on her spectacular journey and feel blessed to be a part of it. She brings such "Joy to the World!" I personally feel she will go down in history as the greatest soprano of our time, if not for all time. There are a lot of beautiful soprano voices, but Jackie's has a rich and heavenly quality that cannot be adequately described.

All of Jackie's Christmas videos are a joy but the one of her singing O Holy Night at the White House tree lighting in 2010 holds special meaning to me. It was the first encounter that I had with this immensely talented young singer.
