Joseph Papalia Named General Manager of St. Barnabas Communities

Papalia will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of The Village, The Woodlands, White Tail Ridge and The Washington Place at St. Barnabas.

Joseph A. Papalia, former general manager of Fox Chapel Golf Club, has been named general manager of the St. Barnabas Communities.

Papalia will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of St. Barnabas Health System’s settings for independent retirees: The Village, The Woodlands, White Tail Ridge and The Washington Place at St. Barnabas.

He will oversee the staffing needs of each department within the communities, work on facility and property management, lead the financial and budgetary needs, and meet with residents to ensure their expectations are being met or exceeded.

A certified club manager from the Club Managers Association of America, he has more than 30 years experience in the private club and hospitality industry.

Papalia holds a degree in business management from the Community College of Allegheny County.  He and his wife Debbie reside in Monroeville and have two children: Joseph, 20, and Dominic, 17.

St. Barnabas Health System is the largest health care concern of its kind in Pennsylvania that serves approximately 900 inpatients and residents, plus 35,000 outpatients and home-care clients.
