Jackie Evancho to Perform with José Carreras in Taiwan

Jackie Evancho is scheduled to sing in Taiwan next month with Spanish tenor José Carreras.

Carreras confirmed on his Facebook page that Jackie would be appearing as a special guest at the April 20 concert in Changhua. Carreras is known for his performances in Verdi and Puccini and as one of "The Three Tenors" with Luciano Pavarotti and Plácido Domingo. 

Last June, Jackie performed in a "Bouquet of the Opera" concert in Russia with opera singers Dmitri Hvorostovsky of Russia and Sumi Jo of South Korea.

The 12-year-old singing sensation from Pine-Richland has also traveled to Britain and Japan, as well as sites across the U.S., to perform. Her fan base circles the globe.

Jackie has been keeping plenty busy since being named the runner-up in 2010 on NBC's America’s Got Talent.

She most recently stepped out on the red carpet March 22 and wowed the crowd at the Bellagio Las Vegas in support of One Night for One Drop. (See Jackie's red carpet look in our photo gallery!).

Jackie is also scheduled to appear April 5 as a judge at the Kean Quest finals and she's touring the country as part of her new album Songs From the Silver Screen.

She'll make her film debut alongside Robert Redford, Susan Sarandon and Shia LaBoeuf in The Company You Keep, which comes out in April.
