Jackie Evancho to Perform at Cirque Du Soleil Benefit Show in Las Vegas

The extravaganza supports a global philanthropic cause aimed at ensuring clean water for all.

Jackie Evancho will perform as part of an unprecedented Cirque du Soleil extravaganza at the Bellagio's "O" Theatre in Las Vegas on March 22 to support a global philanthropic effort called ONE NIGHT for ONE DROP on World Water Day, according to the singing star's website.

ONE DROP, a nonprofit organization created by Cirque du Soleil founder Guy Laliberté, works to secure water access by implementing integrated and unique water projects around the world and to reverse the growing water crisis by raising awareness for water-related issues.

Since its inception in 2007, ONE DROP has worked to provide access to clean, safe water for more than 300,000 people.

For the first time, all seven Cirque du Soleil shows on the Las Vegas strip close their doors to collaborate in the once-in-a-lifetime spectacular featuring more than 200 Cirque du Soleil performers alongside special guests including Jackie.

She will participate in a stunning water-and-aerial performance celebrating the earth as an artistic creation and highlight water as the essence of life within the earth's ecosystem.

Prince Albert II of Monaco is serving as honorary chair for ONE NIGHT for ONE DROP. In 2006, Prince Albert created the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation that supports sustainable and ethical projects around the world focusing on three main challenges: climate change and developing renewable energies; combating the loss of biodiversity; and water management (improving universal access to clean water) and fighting desertification.

Proceeds raised from ONE NIGHT for ONE DROP will support the organization's worldwide critical clean water access and education programs and a portion of the proceeds raised this night will go to the Las Vegas Springs Preserve and its ongoing effort to support water conservation and sustainable living in the Las Vegas Valley.

Jackie will perform in Las Vegas again on Saturday, April 13, at the Smith Center.
