Jackie Evancho to Appear on 'Dancing With the Stars,' 'Canada's Got Talent'
The 12-year-old classical crossover singer tweets her news.
Jackie Evancho will appear on Dancing With the Stars on Monday during classical week.
"Very excited to be singing on DWTS for classical week," the 12-year-old soprano from Richland Township tweeted on Wednesday. "Hope to see Katherine again. She's so wonderful."
She was referring to Katherine Jenkins, who teamed up with dancer Mark Ballas to vie for the Mirrorball Trophy on the ABC Show that airs at 8 p.m. Mondays and 9 p.m. Tuesdays.
"More exciting news," Jackie wrote on Facebook. "I will be performing on Dancing With The Stars Monday April 30 for Classical Week!!!"
Jackie also announced on Twitter recently that she will appear on Canada's Got Talent on May 14. She appeared on Britain's Got Talent last year.
Of course, Jackie's rise to international fame came when she appeared on America's Got Talent when she was 10.

Jackie is the most extraordinary performer "on the planet" (as David Foster might say.) Not everyone realizes it yet, but they will soon, with media appearances like these. I believe Jackie is destined to be "as big as it gets" in the entertainment world, and there's no one who is more legitimately deserving of the recognition.
Shine on, Jackie!

I couldn't agree more Alex! We know just how other worldly Jackie is first hand and I agree that there is no limit to the reaches of her fame!!!

Jackie came onto the scene like a meteorite, and has stayed long enough to wear the novelty off. She has proven her gifts wherever she has gone. Listening to her sing the other day a new song, for me, I would have swore she has improved as in having a more mature sound. How can she get better? That's a mystery in itself. -- Jackie, you sing because it makes you happy, you said. Truthfully, your singing makes me happy, and so many like me here in the U.S. and around the globe. Be yourself and you will change the world to a kinder place to be. -- You go girl!!

Having watched Jackie since last May, heramazing growth in less than a year has propelled her from a little girl into beautiful young lady. Wonderful, but sad, since I'll miss the ittle girl.

The metamorphosis from the little girl to the tween to the teen and then adult has been and will be fascinating! Nothing is lost and the beautiful butterfly that emerges will shimmer and flash in the sun.
