Hayrides, Costume Parades and More Planned for Halloween Parties This Weekend
Parties planned for Saturday in Pine and Sunday in Richland.
A hayride, bonfire, Boo Barn, pumpkin painting, costume parade and ghost stories are on tap this weekend as Pine and Richland townships celebrate Halloween.
Saturday in Pine
Saturday is the day for Pine's celebration from 2 to 5 p.m. in Pine Community Park. The price of admission is $3 per child; kids under the age of 2 get in free.
A contest for kids ages 1-9 will be held at 4:30 p.m. for the cutest, scariest and most original costumes. A hayride and bonfire, craft area, costume parade and ghost stories also are planned.
Sunday in Richland
Sunday will mark Richland's Halloween Party, but the deadline to register is closed for the 6 p.m. event at the "Boo Barn" in Richland Community Park. Pumpkin painting, crafts, face painting, games and a "spooky hay wagon" ride through park trails are planned.
Halloween Parade on Friday, Oct. 28
A Halloween parade is planned for 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 28, along Manor Road in Wexford. The parade begins at Wexford Tire and ends at Salem United Methodist Church.
Trick or Treating
The official time for trick-or-treating in both townships is 6 to 8 p.m. on Oct. 31.
