Giant Eagle Downsizes Plans for Market District Store in Pine
Pine supervisors approve the plans for a smaller addition.
The Giant Eagle in the Village at Pine is downsizing before it even expanded to become a Market District store.
Plans for a 3,830-square-foot building addition have been reduced to 2,136 square feet.
The Pine Board of Supervisors unanimously approved the change Tuesday. No Giant Eagle representatives were present to speak at the meeting.
"[Market District stores] carry the majority of everyday staples and favorites that you find at your local Giant Eagle," according to the store's website.
The stores also stock international and special products.
"In addition, we feature unique shopping opportunities in our charcuterie, churrasco, cheese cave, fresh pasta and pizza stations, prepared foods and more," the website explained.
