If you’re looking for a cheap afternoon getaway on a Tuesday or Wednesday in October, the Kean Theatre has just what you need.
Free movies will be shown at 2 p.m. Tuesdays and 1 p.m. Wednesdays at the theater on the St. Barnabas campus in Richland Township. The shows are open to the public.
The Kean Theatre is in Washington Place at 5847 Meridian Road in Gibsonia, just south of the Richland Township Volunteer Fire Department.

Oct. 4 – The Lincoln Lawyer (R) – A lawyer who works out of the back of his car finds himself in an ethical battle when a client claims he did not rape a prostitute. Matthew McConaughey stars. 118 minutes.
Oct. 11 – Peyton Place – The shameless novel about a small New England town. Lana Turner stars. 157 minutes.
Oct. 18 – Source Code (PG-13) – High-octane thrill ride that stars Jake Gyllenhaal jumping through time to stop a terrorist act. 93 minutes.
Oct. 25– Jane Eyre (PG-13) – A beautiful remake of the classic story of a governess, her employer and a secret. 120 minutes.
The Wednesdays@1 shows are as follows:
Oct. 5 – Arthur (PG-13) – Delightful remake of the fun-loving drunk who refuses to grow up. Helen Mirren costars with Russell Brand. 100 minutes.
Oct. 12 – Valley of the Dolls (PG-13) – The book that was banned yet outsold the Bible in the 1960s comes to life on the screen. Patty Duke, Barbara Parkins and the unforgettable Sharon Tate star. 123 minutes.
Oct. 19 – Last Night (R) – A married couple spends a night apart and each faces the temptation of cheating on the other. Keira Knightly stars in this drama. 90 minutes.
