Food Fight: Who Serves the Best Soup in the Pine-Richland Area?

When you dine out, do you eschew the chips and send for the soup? This week, we are looking for the best bowl of soup in Pine and Richland. Join our Food Fight, a regular series in which you point us toward the best foods in your neighborhood.

We think it's the blustery weather, but we have a hankering for a hot bowl of soup today. Maybe it's a tangy turtle, or a lovely lentil or just a really nice noodle you're craving as well. Tell us where we can find it, whether at a restaurant or a diner or a take-out place in Pine or Richland.

We'll be having a Food Fight every week. At the start, we'll invite you to tell us about your favorite local spot for a specific dish—the more mouthwatering adjectives the better—and we'll post your nominations. On Friday, we'll post the most popular nominations and let you vote.

In this case, the winning soup will get to wear a crown and one of those silky beauty-queen banners. OK, not really, because that would be messy. We'd give the crown to the soup chef, but we want to wear it ourselves in the Thanksgiving Day parade.

Let's just say the winner gets kudos. Not to mention saltines. And you get to find out about the best soup in town.

So whaddya say? Weigh in now. Let the slurping begin.
