There's nothing like a hot, brown breakfast to get the weekend started. A teetering stack of pancakes is our idea of an excellent way to blow a low-carb diet.

The thing about breakfast is it can be all sorts of things: fattening things like pancakes and waffles; body-building things like eggs and bacon; healthy things like oatmeal and fruit; and French things like toast.

Perhaps more than with any other meal, people have favorite places for breakfast. Where is yours in Pine-Richland? And what do you order? We're taking nominations now, and next week we'll open the field to voting.

If we could, we would nominate our own Dutch Baby for best breakfast. It's not Dutch and it doesn't look like any baby we know, but oh baby, is it good.
