Jackie Evancho receives prolonged standing ovation from the Preisident and First Lady at the National Prayer Breakfast
Pine-Richland's own Jackie Evancho received a prolonged Standing "O" from President and Mrs. Obama, and the entire room after singing her powerful anthem of hope "To Believe" at the National Prayer Breakfast in Washington, D.C. this morning. "To Believe" is from Jackie's certified Gold CD "Dream With Me."
One could not ask for a more perfect audience to hear Jackie sing "To Believe." Written by her uncle Matt Evancho, "To Believe" is one of the most powerful anthems for hope and peace ever written in a world gone so apparently wrong and so in need of a moral compass.
After singing, with Jackie and her mom Lisa seated on the dais with the President and First Lady, and other dignitaries, one speaker made this comment: "We have quite the head table here. We have the runner up to America's Got Talent (Jackie), the winner of the Heisman Trophy, the winner of the Nobel Prize, and the most powerful woman in American History." Very nice for Jackie and her mom to be included in this august group on such a memorable occasion.
In a very short time Jackie has become America's Sweetheart and a national treasure to millions of Americans who see in her and her family everything that is right and good about our country: faith in God, strong family values, and believing that all of your hopes and dreams can and will come true if you work hard and believe in yourself. One could not ask for better representatives of what our country stands for.
View Jackie's performance at this link. She starts at the 7:00 mark. Enjoy.
